Scheer urges Trudeau to pursue legal action over SNC-Lavalin comments

Conservative leader Andrew Scheer is challenging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to follow through on a threat to sue him, after Sheer insinuated that Trudeau interfered with the criminal prosecution of engineering firm SNC-Lavalin.

The Conservative leader stated yesterday that he received a letter from the Prime Minister’s lawyer, threatening a libel suit.

Trudeau expelled former cabinet minister’s Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott from the Liberal caucus last week.

Canadian astronaut performs first spacewalk in 12 years

This morning, David Saint-Jacques became the first Canadian astronaut to spacewalk outside the international space station in 12 years.

Saint-Jacques & U.S. astronaut Anne McClain were tasked with completing a series of tasks, including an upgrade to the station’s communication system.

Saint-Jacques becomes the fourth Canadian astronaut to complete a spacewalk, and is the first  since Dave Williams did so back in 2007.

Vancouver gas prices at all-time high

Drivers heading to the pumps today are paying more than ever before, with many stations hitting 164.9 cents per litre.

Many stations across Metro Vancouver reached the new high over the weekend.

The increase is being credited to refinery issues in the United States, as well as fuel taxes.
