On September 17th, legendary Canadian Ice Dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir announce that they will be ‘stepping away’ from the sport. They’re the most decorated ice dancers in the history of the Olympics, having won national and international accolades throughout their 22 year long illustrious career.

“We’re in such good hands in Canada. The next generation of skaters in going to blaze new trails, break all of our records and we can’t wait to cheer them on.” – Tessa Virtue via Twitter video.

They intend  to continue ice dancing, not to compete but to entertain audiences across Canada as part of a tour.
