“[After winning The Launch] I had to shut my notifications off [on my phone] because it wouldn’t stop dinging. It was crazy.”

Say hello to the lower mainland’s newest star.

Cassiøpeia is The Launch‘s first winner of season two, releasing her latest single Better featuring Boi-1da and Juno nominee Killy. Her single was written by OneRepublic’s lead singer Ryan Tedder who was the featured guest judge on her episode.

The 17-year old is the youngest artist to be launched on the show and is the first winner from Vancouver. She describes her style and sound as a fusion between indie and alt-pop with an acoustic flare.

In the months following her win she has signed with Scott Borchetta’s record label Big Machine Records and is planning on releasing an EP and possibly tour dates in the near future.
