‘Tank’ or Play

The Canucks haven’t made the playoffs since 2015.

Canucks are currently sitting 9th in the Western Conference in a three way tie for the last wildcard spot. Ironically, last year the team had the same exact amount of points.

There is hope that the team can redeem themselves however, the opinions vary on whether they should fight for a draft pick or a spot in the post-season.

BCIT News decided to see what our students think about the ‘tank’ or play scenario. Click on the video at the bottom to see what people were saying.

The Vancouver Canucks are headed into the all-star break. The team doesn’t have a playoff spot yet and after Canucks owner, Francesco Aquilini, sent out this tweet, the fan base has been talking.

Yesterday’s game: Canucks vs Hurricanes

Yesterday the Canucks lost 5-2 to the Carolina Hurricanes.

There has been plenty of discussion with whether the Canucks’ defence has been ‘falling apart’ over the last six weeks.

Despite the loss Elias Pettersson, the teams ‘golden boy‘, had a goal and an assist against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, this was also his first game back after his knee sprain.
