Fifty-nine confirmed dead in California wildfires

California officials have released that the death toll from the wildfires has increased to fifty nine. The number could be on the rise, as one hundred and thirty have been reported as missing.

The fires have encompassed over three hundred square kilometers of land and have taken thousands of homes across the state.

Translink Mayor’s Council Could Cancel LRT

The Translink Mayor’s Council is having a meeting to decide whether or not to cancel the Translink 1.65 billion dollar LRT extension.

Surrey’s council already voted unanimously to cancel the LRT earlier in the month.

VPD not noticing higher DUIs for Cannabis

Vancouver Police Department Constable Jason Doucette says that Cannabis related arrests in the last month regarding people driving under the influence of cannabis of products have not increased.

The announcement comes a month after cannabis legalization.
