Biden, De Niro targeted

Former Vice-President Joe Biden and actor Robert De Niro are the latest intended recipients in a string of suspicious mail packages.

The packages appear to be targeting Democratic politicians and left-leaning activists.

Billionaire George Soros, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and CNN’s Manhattan bureau have all been sent similar packages.

Kelowna joins other Canadian cities like Toronto, Victoria, Calgary and Halifax to be affected by the 24-hour rotating strike. (pixabay)

CP strike hits Kelowna

Kelowna is one of the newest locations for Canada Post’s 24-hour rotating strike action.

It joins Victoria as the second major B.C. municipality to be affected by the strike action starting today.

This current rotation will also be in Calgary and Sherbrooke, joining Toronto, Edmonton and Halifax as cities impacted by the ongoing labour dispute.

1.5 million cars recalled

The Ford Motor Company announced it was recalling almost 1.5 million Focus compact vehicles.

The issue is related to a problem with the fuel system that can cause engines to stall.

136,000 of the 1.5 million vehicles are in Canada.
